National Labor Relations Modernization Act

This will amend the National Labor Relations Act to set forth special procedural requirements for reaching an initial collective bargaining agreement following certification or recognition of an individual or labor organization as the elected exclusive collective bargaining representative of a unit of 20 or more employees.

Secret Ballot Protection Act of 2009

This act seeks to “ensure the right of employees to a secret-ball.”

The Arbitration Fairness Act of 2009

The Arbitration Fairness Act of 2009 would amend the Federal Arbitration Act so that mandatory arbitration clauses in employment, consumer and franchise agreements are unenforceable.

Paycheck Fairness

The Paycheck Fairness Act would amend the Equal Pay Act and create new damages and causes of action while removing impediments for employees to bring suits.
